Ibiza Style, the prestigious lifestyle magazine of the Pitiusas, is launching a music competition in cooperation with Ibiza Global Radio (www.ibizaglobalradio.com): we are looking for an IBIZA STYLE song (both full length and radio versions). This will become the signature tune for all Ibiza Style events, advertising etc. We hereby call upon DJs and artists from the dance and electro scene to compose a song exclusively for us and to send it in. Its scope should cover the whole range, from lounge to house; in other words, include everything that is typical of Ibiza. The best track will become the official signature tune of Ibiza Style and will be played as a jingle on Ibiza Global Radio for all of our cooperative ventures and campaigns.

The composer of the best entry, and therefore the creator of the brand new Ibiza Style song and advertising jingle, will receive in addition professional Pioneer DJ equipment (the new Pioneer CDJ-900, DJM-700 mixer and HDJ-2000 headphones) worth more than 2,000 euros!

The following rules apply to this competition:
1) Contestants must be 16 years of age or older on the date that they submit their entry.
2) The music entered must be an original composition, free of copyright restrictions and entirely the contestant’s own work.
3) Employees of the following companies are ineligible to enter: Pioneer, rebeat, Ibiza Global Radio and Ibiza & Formentera Style.
4) Contestants may enter from any country in the world. However, the prize can only be despatched to an address within the EU.
If possible, the presentation of the first prize should take place in Ibiza.
5) Voting procedure
a. When submissions have closed, a panel of judges will select the ten best entries which will then be published on the Style magazine website at http://ibiza-style.com/pages/en/culture/music/120-voting.html.
b. The tracks published will then be listened to and judged by our website users. They will be awarded scores of one, two and three points based on order of preference.
c. Users are permitted to vote only once. To ensure that the system is not abused, users will have to supply an e-mail address so that an automatic verification code can be sent out. The vote will only count when this code is activated.
d. The voting ends at midnight on 15/09/10.
e. The winner will be announced live on Ibiza Global Radio (www.ibizaglobalradio.com) during the 1pm to 2pm slot on Friday 17/09/10, and here on the Ibiza Style website.
The winner will also be informed by e-mail.
The follow-up winners of the rebeat full version will only be named on Ibiza-style.com and be informed by e-mail.

6) Submitting your piece of music
a. Musical entries must be sent by e-mail to contest@ibiza-style.com
b. Contestants will receive confirmation of the safe arrival of their entry.
c. The accompanying e-mail must contain the following details:
i. First name and surname of contestant in full;
ii. Artist or stage name;
iii. Postal address within the EU (in the event that the contestant is resident outside Ibiza);
iv. Contestant’s date of birth.
7) Legal
a. By submitting your entry to this competition, you agree to be bound by the following rules:
i. The intellectual owner of the winning piece of music in the Ibiza Style Song Contest grants Ibiza Style Magazine and the Pitiusa Media Group the unencumbered right to use said piece of music free of charge.
ii. Furthermore, he/she agrees to the said piece of music being published on www.ibiza-style.com for voting purposes.
iii. The judges’ decision is final and may not be challenged in law.
