Holy thursday´ s procession in San Miguel

21. April 2011 | 17:25
Irrespective of ideology and religion, the Easter Thursday procession in San Miguel is an event that is highly recommended to visitors who want to get to know the more authentic side of Ibiza. Its origins go back to the Middle Ages and it is a festivity that is full of symbolism. Whilst bachelors carry the figure of Christ and young girls wearing mantles carry the Virgin Mary, the priests of San Miguel sing hymns throughout the entire route.
