The sports councillor from the town council of Ibiza, in partnership with the cycling associations Xebelli, CE Botafoc, Sargantana and Base Sport, based in the city, has prepared various new routes for the second edition of «Family bicycle tourism routes». This year six bicycle trips will be offered. The sixth excursion will head for Formentera, where cyclists will get to see the island’s varied landscapes. Anyone who wishes to sign up can do so at the municipal swimming pool in Can Misses or in the specialist shops in Ibiza «Mr. Bike», «Bicicletas Juan Ferrer» and «Boutique de la Bici» up to one week before the start of each excursion. Nonetheless, for the Formentera route there is no deadline for signing up.
The next trip, which will be held on the 18th of April, will start out at Plaza Antoni Albert Nieto where it joins Bulevar Abel Matutes, at 10:00. The 30 km ride will go from Ibiza to the Ses Salines nature reserve passing through Platja d´en Bossa. From there it will head for Cap d´es Falcó until it reaches Sant Francesc, back to Platja d´en Bossa and thence to the starting point again. The exact route to be taken in Formentera on the 1st and 2nd of May is still to be decided.
