Diederik van Maren has lived in Ibiza for 3 years. He is originally from Amsterdam where he was buying and developing houses. Although he enjoyed his life and work in Amsterdam it just didn’t gave him enough satisfaction. So he decided to move with his wife and their two children to the island.
Diederik discovered Ibiza when he came here for the first time 25 years ago. He instantly fell in love with the island. He lived in many other places around the world, such as London, the Caribbean, Israel and Lebanon, but never found a place that could be compared to Ibiza.
By setting up the construction company Dita Building on the island, he has found fulfillment in his work.
The strength of Dita Building is that they build with their own team of specialized workers and therefore are not dependant on contractors and can work in a fast, structured and efficient way.
The house he has built on the hill at Es Cubells is in one of the most beautiful places on the island, with amazing views over to Formentera. It is a good example of Diederik’s style: clear lines, long unbroken views, all amidst a warm, elegant atmosphere.
Every Saturday throughout the year. Tours of Dalt Vila with actors in costume telling the story of the history of the old town of Ibiza. To register call 971 399 232 or email informacioturistica@eivissa.es

Santa Eulalia, Ibiza & Santa Inés
To reach Puig de Missa de Santa Eulalia in the shortest time possible is the challenge that this 2, 200 metre race, 'Pujada al Puig de Missa', presents. On January 15th it will be celebrating its XXI edition.
If you have a dog, a cat or another pet and you wish it to be sprayed with blessed water, the patron saint festivities of San Antonio are the opportunity to do so.
Even though the festivities on the 1st of May are more colourful and loud, February 12th is the big day of Santa Eulalia and therefore the key date of the town‘s patron saint festivities.
