2019 is year of change, and as Ibiza embraces the welcome new additions to the island, there can be nowhere more deserving of the accolade of winning the hearts of the residents and visitors to the relatively conservative town of Santa Eulalia than the much lauded Chiringuito Blue, who opened discreetly yet distinguishedly in the summer of 2018.

Having taken over a somewhat iconic space on the promenade of the town, Chiringuito Blue quickly established themselves as a ‘must go to’ place on any discerning visitors Ibiza agenda.

The architecture and obvious love and attention which has gone into creating the decor of the venue, which can only be described as a sublime combination of cutting edge luxury, with of course a sumptuous splash of Ibiza Style, the setting is more than welcoming, the only problem you have at Chiringuito Blue is that when you arrive you never want to leave!

Perhaps the one thing that not everyone is aware of when it comes to this most divine location is that the fact that, whilst the interior may be intimate and inviting for romantic liaisons or long lazy lunches with friends, the restaurant is in fact an ideal location for families with children of all ages.

A dedicated kids club is open everyday in high season ( weekends in low), and here you have professional child carers who will delight in entertaining young children in arts and crafts, face painting, jewellery making and much more. Older children have free rein on the vast expanse of beach which sits directly in front of the restaurant, and they truly delight in being able to run free, dipping in and out of the sea, whilst their parents can enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner, safe in the knowledge that their children are being entertained are in clear sight, and, surely any parent will understand the importance of this, whether you are living here in Ibiza or visiting on holiday, this is truly a pleasant place to bring your children whilst you indulge in some much need ‘me time’.

Of course, Chiringuito Blue has earned a well deserved reputation for serving excellent food and drinks, and, it would be a crime not to mention the quality of their own take on a Bloody Mary, their very own ‘Bloody Mikaela’, which simply has to be tasted to be believed (..warning these can be addictive!), but they also offer a children’s menu which goes above and beyond the usual choices you see in many other venues.

Your children can choose from an extensive selection of healthy and innovative dishes, a far cry from your standard chicken nuggets or pizza, instead, let them feast on basmati rice with carrots and zucchini, or cauliflower popcorn. Of course, they still feature some classics as those with children will know that some are not as adventurous as other, so fish fingers (homemade of course), pasta with fresh tomato sauce and burgers are also on offer, so you can be sure that even the fussiest of eaters will find something to fill their stomachs after a wonderful day playing on the beachfront.

So if you are visiting Santa Eulalia this summer, and have young ones in your tribe, head straight to Chiringuito Blue, a place which affords the adults the opportunity to soak up the Ibizan atmosphere whilst the children are safely and capably cared for. A winning combination for all the family.
