Those who experienced and enjoyed it back in 1984 – the year it opened – are certain that today, in the very midst of this emblematic brand’s resurgence, they continue to experience the same almost magical sensation that made it famous 33 years ago. The excitement you feel when you are in a cosmopolitan, urban style hotel right in the middle of the port and that of feeling part of a place that is full of good vibes where special things have always gone on and go on.

Now, Gran Hotel Montesol Ibiza, Curio Collection by Hilton, is about to celebrate the first anniversary of its new journey, setting out on a modern era and counting on everyone, both the classic visitors who made it so well known as well as the current customers who are keen to have that Montesol experience at any time, in any one of its nooks, for any reason. The hotel is thus preparing itself to offer a non-stop summer in which its guests and visitors will be able to participate in that luxury without any artifice that brings together the straightforward and exclusive in one single concept.

Among the season’s most relevant innovations, we must point out the reopening of the Café Montesol Terrace. Thanks to the pedestrianisation of Paseo Vara de Rey, the main thoroughfare of the island’s old town, it will once again become one of the busiest points of the city. And precisely there at the heart of the action, on this legendary terrace that is, without a doubt, one of the hotel’s great attractions, an all-day-bar service will be offered from 8 o’clock in the morning onwards. A service where you can have breakfast, sample tapas, eat lunch, have dinner or savour a delicious cocktail to welcome in Ibiza’s never-ending night time.

And, if this winter, the hotel has been a meeting point for local residents and visitors, now it is ready for a season in which its gastronomy will have-and why ever not-a major role to play both on the terrace and in the restaurant, led by chef Josetxo Arrieta, one of the main movers and shakers in contemporary cuisine. The menu, comprising Mediterranean food with Asian touches, will remain in place not to mention such popular dishes that go all the way back to the hotel’s history as the “bikini Montesol”.

Furthermore, the hotel fully intends to go ahead with its great plan to stage cultural, artistic and fashion events, including such exclusive, already programmed events as hosting the fashion parade that will launch the new collection by Charo Ruíz Ibiza, among many others.
