The myriad of colours quite simply takes your breath away as you enter, and the attention to details is exceptional, from the grassed walls adorned with pink flowers to the retro lighting and beautifully designed cushions which adorn the welcoming daybeds, Wi-Ki-Woo is veritable riot of showstopping hues designed to stimulate the senses!
With 44 exquisitely designed rooms, and the aforementioned decor, it’s little wonder that Wi-Ki-Woo has become the most Instagrammed hotel in Europe, every detail is simply begging to be shared on your socials! And let’s not forget the views, the panoramic vista over the coastline is simply unrivalled, away from the madding crowds of the Sunset Strip, this is the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail with friends as the sun makes its final descent into the sea after yet another perfect Ibizan day.
Ibiza Style were invited to experience another amazing aspect on offer, the delectable menu which effortlessly combines innovative, delicious dishes with an unmistakably ‘Wi-Ki-Woo – esque’ theme!
Executive chef Lee Sharville is so evidently passionate about the menu he has curated, and his infectiously upbeat personality is reflected in each of their culinary offerings. He explains that his goal was to ensure that the menu reflected the upbeat, frivolous nature of the hotel, whilst at the same time offering perfectly presented, and painstakingly prepared dishes which are designed to whet the appetite of both hotel guests and non residents alike!
We tasted a veritable feast of his personal favorite choices, which include a Vegan Hummus Platter, with mouthwatering mango and chilli hummus served with toasted flatbread and red pepper soldiers, an ideal poolside platter.
Another winner is the Tuna Ceviche, served with sublime avocado, coriander, cucumber and fresh lime a truly refreshing palate cleanser!
Lee’s signature dish, understandably, is the Grilled Salmon Risotto, served with exquisite king prawns, grilled leeks and delivered to you on a bed of squid ink risotto, perfectly reflecting the colours of the surroundings. He is also bursting with pride at a new addition to this year’s menu, the Seared Tuna Tataki, a new addition this year, which sublimely combines seared tuna with a ginger soy glaze, perfectly presented upon crisp bok choy and tender stem broccoli.
He tells us that his vision, which he has well accomplished was to create a fabulous fusion menu, to complement the colourful interior of the hotel, fresh, funky and vibrant, yet at the same time keeping things simple and always offering true value for money.
From June, hotel guests and non residents can all indulge in Wi-Ki-Woos ‘Thirsty Thursdays’ tapas events which will run weekly through until September. For a mere 55 euros per head, you can enjoy free flowing, unlimited prosecco, from a brand very aptly named ‘Giggle Water’ for 2 hours, plus 5 choices of tapas,. These nights were a huge success last year with locals and residents alike, advocating the fact that Wi-Ki-Woo is a truly welcoming and informal venue designed with your enjoyment in mind! After sampling a few glasses (in the name of business of course!) we can guarantee that the addition of the bubbles from the Giggle Water prosecco will ensure this is a night you will never forget!
Add to these divine dining options one of the best stocked bars on the island, with a cocktail list to rival anywhere we have visited, and you have a one stop venue to dine, drink and dance the night or day away, in true Ibiza Style!
