Athough Cala Gracioneta lies near to San Antonio, you get a feeling of seclusion in the bay. The nearby hotels and houses are hidden behind pine trees.  Its crystal clear, turquoise water and fine-sandy beach invite you to take a dip. Twelve well-maintained sunbeds are available for sun seekers. They belong to the beach restaurant, El Chiringuito, which blends into the narrow bay in a rustic, harmonious way.

The Mambo group recently took over the restaurant, installing a new modern kitchen and renovating and furnishing the restaurant and the lounge terraces with great tact and taste. Led by the manager, Javier, the highly professional new team appears to enjoy an excellent rapport and there is a cheerful, friendly atmosphere. In a relaxed ambiance, in the shade beneath a sun awning or the straw roof, with a view of the glittering waters, time passes pleasantly with a refreshing drink or a cocktail from the bar, even when it is really hot.

The restaurant beckons you to enjoy a relaxing lunch. Its cuisine is based on traditional dishes with a contemporary touch.  Specialities include the rice dishes, fresh local fish and squid from the charcoal grill or the (already famous) mussels in a special stock with coconut milk and ginger.  Naturally, there are also plenty of light dishes such as salads or grilled vegetables.  There is a special evening menu, on which grilled meat dishes take centre stage.  Non-vegetarians can choose among dry-aged prime rib, steaks, lamb cutlets, chicken or simply a burger with homemade chips.

The chiringuito is open from 11 a.m. until midnight while the kitchen opens at midday from 13:00 until 17:30 and from 19:00 to 23:00 in the evening. The way there is well signposted and free parking is available for customers.
