“It’s a collection of very colourful, simple and sexy dresses, kaftans and kimonos”, says the Japanese designer, one of the key figures on the fashion circuit over the course of recent decades and probably the most iconic and personal representation of the symbiotic relationship that fashion and dance music had in the London of the 80s and 90s with the birth and subsequent flowering of club culture.
Music – the life that starts when the sun goes down – continues to inform Michiko Koshino’s collections and also the everyday existence of this island that floats thanks to music. The designer discovered Ibiza in the 70s and now returns at the invitation of Atzaró with an exclusive and delicate fashion project featuring stamped silk garments drawn from the creator’s personal archive.
