The wonderful autumn weather bathes guests on the terrace at Cafe Sydney in brilliant sunshine, but the days are getting shorter. The dishes available at Cafe Sidney change to suit the season, combining both new and tried and tested menus.

As usual, a lunch menu can be ordered Monday to Friday from 1pm to 4pm. What’s new, though, is that any menu can be put together from chef’s own recommendations. This menu offers new, innovative dishes – choice of 3 starters, 3 main meals and 3 desserts – and changes weekly, guaranteeing that there is no chance of déjà vu setting in.

This applies also to evenings at Cafe Sydney, plus, weekdays from 6 pm onwards, a resident DJ plays relaxing music for after work. However, on evenings when live pictures of sporting events, such as the UEFA Champions League, are being broadcast, you can watch in either German or Spanish on one of two large flat-screen televisions, and the music is turned off.

Because of the new Champions League schedule, the traditional highly popular Asian buffet has moved from Tuesdays to Thursdays (from 8pm); choose from an all-you-can-eat menu, offering a wide selection of sushi and Asian dishes with Japanese influences.

Another classic at Cafe Sidney is the legendary Sunday brunch, with crunchy muesli, French croissants, fresh fruit, ham and roast meat, salmon, fresh fruit juices and great coffee for late risers and morning grouches.

Incidentally, you can always find what is currently on offer by visiting Cafe Sidney’s Facebook page.
