The coastline which runs from Cala nova to Cala Llenya is without doubt one of the most spectacular stretches of shores to be found anywhere on the island. With its expanse of soft white sand and the startling turquoise waters for which Ibiza is so famous for, it has, for the last two years been home to a venue which has become a ‘must do’ on any discerning visitor to Ibiza’s list, the colourful vibrant beach bar and restaurant Aiyanna.

As Aiyanna sails proudly into her third year, this enchanting venue has built up a loyal customer base who return time after time to enjoy the prime location, innovative menu and the exceptional service. Those who have visited the sister restaurant Amante will be familiar with the dedication to excellence at both of these divine dining destinations.

The name Aiyanna is unique in itself, a Native American word meaning ‘eternal flower’, Aiyanna embodies the spirit of Ibiza, capturing the vitality and beauty of this incredible island.

Aiyanna is proud to offer wide and diverse range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, all of which are produced using local ingredients where possible. The dishes reflect the ambience of the restaurant itself, colourful, fresh and fun!

The menu offers so many wonderful options, it’s difficult to know where to start! But we recommend beginning with the perfect Pide, which is a delight of Turkish spelt flatbread with a feta and pistachio cream spread, Kalamata olives, rocket, cherry tomatoes and a citric agave dressing. Perhaps share this amongst your table with the Green taboule, a fabulous combination of edamame, lentils, apple, avocado and a citrus vinaigrette.

For the mains, again the choices are so diverse, but we simply adore the Roasted Aubergine served with bulgur and celery topped with a refreshing mint and yoghurt dressing. Pescatarians will delight in the barbecued whole Mediterranean squid with chargrilled leeks and tender salad leaves, whilst those seeking a true taste of Ibicencan tradition with a modern twist should choose the Spanish black rice with cuttlefish, prawns and a Kaffir lime mayonnaise.

For dessert, in our opinion, the winner amongst a wonderful selection is the Caramelised Torrija, a Spanish style french-toast which is served with a sweet pumpkin sauce and vanilla ice cream, this is a dish which will have us, and undoubtedly anyone who tastes it coming back for more! Head Chef Rafa Rodríguez Born is the man behind this sublime selection, and is understandably proud of his culinary offerings.

If you need a break from the hedonistic party scene, why not come and try the yoga classes which take place on the terrace with a sensational seaview on  Monday,  Wednesday and Friday from 0845 – 10 am, followed by healthy breakfast 30 euros including breakfast eggs, fruit, cereal, gluten free bread, nuts muesli coconut, fresh pressed juice, a perfect way to kickstart your day!

One thing you cannot help to notice when you enter Aiyanna are the exquisite giant parasols, handmade in Guatemala, and decorated with a riot of colours! In addition to this, the staff uniforms are an eclectic design made using traditional material with aztec style prints direct from Africa. Aiyanna is a melting pot of different cultures and this is reflected in the captivating collection of clothes for sale in the boutique, handmade by designer Ivonne Carolina, who is on hand with her sewing machine to make any alterations you may need, a truly exceptional service! Her brand Ibiza Hope is an enchanting array of traditional African designs, handmade with much love!

From June, Aiyanna will be open from 10am until midnight when the kitchen closes, but you can enjoy a late night cocktail until 1am. We cannot finish without mentioning the exceptional cocktail list, carefully curated by mixologist Angel Salazar, and we recommend the signature cocktail, Amore Aiyanna, which perfectly reflects the colour of the sea, a dazzling blue, and a taste sensation of rum, Italicus, falernum syrup, lime juice and blue curacao. Or for a fruity delight sample the Aloha, a sumptuous blend of yuzu puree, umeshu liqueur, peach, lemon juice and beer, truly refreshing, and guaranteed to leave you wanting more!
